CodeHound

Promo codes from your Gmail

Stop digging through promo emails. CodeHound connects to your Gmail with read-only access, sniffs through the Promotions tab, and turns the pile into one clean list: which store, which code, what you save, and the day it expires. Tap once to copy a code, then shop.

What it finds

It reads the way you would. Just faster.

Codes

“Use code SAVE20”, “promo code: WELCOME10”, “enter FALL15 at checkout”. Codes are shown in orange and copied with one tap.

Offers

20% off, save $15, free shipping, buy one get one, free gift, and the “on orders over $50” catch that goes with it.

Deadlines

“Ends Sunday”, “expires 9/30”, “valid through September 30th”, “48 hours only”. Deals ending today are flagged in red; expired ones drop off on their own.

Grouped by store

Every deal is filed under the sender’s store, and the same code from five reminder emails is folded into one row. Nike’s five emails become one Nike section.

Search & filter

Type a store, a code, or an offer. Filter to codes only, pick a look-back window of 7 to 90 days, or show expired deals to see what you missed.

Open in Gmail

Tap a deal to see the email’s subject and the sentence the code came from, then jump to the original message in Gmail or straight to the store’s website.

Your email stays yours

Built so the only place your mail exists is where it already was.

How CodeHound handles your Gmail
  • Read-only. The app requests Google’s read-only Gmail permission and nothing else. It cannot send, modify, or delete mail, and you can revoke access at any time from your Google account.
  • Promotions only. It searches for messages Gmail has already filed under Promotions within your chosen look-back window. Your personal mail is never requested.
  • On your device. Emails travel over an encrypted connection straight from Google to your iPhone, are parsed in memory, and are discarded. Only the extracted deals are kept, on the phone.
  • No server, no analytics. There is no CodeHound backend and no analytics SDK. Nobody can see your mail or your deals.
  • Ads that know nothing about you. A small banner from Google AdMob, requested as non-personalized on every device, pays for the app. Your email and your deals are never shared with the ad service.
  • Yours to revoke. Sign out in Settings to revoke the token and delete the saved deals.
Support & Privacy

CodeHound has its own home at codehound.app, which hosts the support page, the privacy policy, and the terms.

Questions, bug reports, or an email that was parsed wrong? Write to support@codehound.app. If a code or deadline was missed, the subject line and the sentence it came from are all I need to add the phrase to the extraction rules.
